I am following Jessica's idea of recreating an old hollywood picture. So here's mine. I tried to recreate this picture of Shirley Temple, but this is as good as it was going to get today cause Nat wasn't too in the mood to have me pose her exactly like the picture..she just wasn't getting what I wanted her to do. So first is obviously the original of Shirley Temple.

This one I just wanted to add cause I thought it was cute.

She's figured out how to write her name. It's so exciting. I still have to tell her which letter to write but she knows how to write them out now. It's so fun to watch her learning her words & letters & how to write. I love it!

She's figured it out!! It is so fun to see the process and progress of Natalie and her letters. I still have to tell her what letter comes next in her name but she writes it all by herself after that. She's doing so good. She's even spelling words that she sees. Like we were watching Word World today (try saying word world 3 times fast..I apparently can't even type it. geez!!) and the were spelling water and I paused the screen and told her to spell the word and she did. It's so exciting!

Getting a bath is one of my daughters favorite things to do. It's a great reward for her. We don't have a bathtub at our house so she only gets one when we're at my parents or my husbands parents house. She could have one everyday if she had the opportunity.

Man! She looks miffed at me! We were standing on a hill and she was very concerned that she would fall..I told her if she leans against the tree she won't fall and then I bent down to take a picture and I had to put my foot out to the side of me, and she started bawling cause it looked like I was falling. It was pretty cute that she was so concerned about me. I had to tell her that I had to put my foot out so I wouldn't fall, but she wasn't understanding that fact so we had to give up on this location after a few shots.

Playin' with saturation and I can't decide which one I like the best..I like them all!

Wow..I haven't posted in awhile. Anyway, I took Natalie to Murray Park yesterday for some pictures cause I just haven't taken many pictures of her, I figure she's going through camera withdrawal..HAHA!! Yeah right! Anyway, here's a few from yesterday.

I'm really in the mood for flower pictures and since it's too cold for flowers..unless i buy them (which i have no money) I used an old flower picture and played with it!! The textures I just posted last post I used on this too!!

My dd was playing out in the fresh snow today and I just thought I'd take pictures of the water drops..it's kinda hard to see them on here after textures..but I like the picture anyway.

Yet again, I can't decide between color & b&w. I am loving this hat!! Thanks Aim!

Oh my gosh!! I don't know what it is about this clip from Eli Stone where Eli is dancing and singing with George Michael but it is making me laugh hysterically..I thought I'd share it!!

My sister made this adorable hat for my dd so we went out to take pictures of her with the hat on and I was just taking pictures of my dd while playing and I was waiting at the front of the house to take a picture of her coming out of the gate..then she walked out of the gate, grabbed a little table and pulled it right infront of her and then she just crouched down and posed like this for me..I didn't tell her to pose for me or anything I was just taking random candid shots of her so it kinda threw me for a loop, so I gladly took a picture of what she wanted!! I couldn't decide between color & b&w so I put both up today.

K!! I just also started watching Eli Stone and I had to put this clip on cause I think it is so funny how Eli dances..I just thought I'd share if you want to watch it!!

Here's my addiction..I so need to stop drinkin' this stuff..but I love it!

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my self portrait yesterday..you guys are so nice!! I don't know why I have such a hard time posting my own picture..but I just need to get over it!! Anyway, thank you so much!! Here's my daughter posing with her dolls before going to bed..she loves her dolls so much right now. The brown haired doll is mine from when I was a wee one. It's so fun to see her playing with it now. I'm glad I saved all my stuffed animals/dolls.

I found these today and thought I'd add them on just for fun. This is me with that same Cabbage Patch Doll on the left of my daughter above!!

I can't believe I'm doing this!! But here it is!! I'm getting kinda sick to my stomach just thinking about putting this up!! But oh well! I though my dd could use a break from the camera today!! And I actually did my hair today for a change so I thought I'd document that as well!!

It's funny looking at these pictures now that I'm a photographer..it definately changes my thoughts on these..i still love the pictures but now I unfortunately pick out everything wrong with them that I didn't know of before!! Darn.

Oh my gosh!! This is hilarious!! I got my ab workout just from laughing!!

I've been having a lot of people ask how I do my textures..so here it is!!

I usually get my textures from textureking.com, but you can really use any jpeg with texture in it!! First of all I usually save the jpeg from textureking as something else..for some reason I can't get it to open up in photoshop right after I save it from the website. Than just open up your texture/jpeg in photoshop..it will be a jpeg so you just drag it onto the picture that you want a texture on and then in layers set the blending mode to soft light and then adjust your opacity, i have it between 50-75% usually. if you don't want the texture on the face or part of the picture just use the eraser tool and adjust the eraser opasity to 75% or so and erase it where you don't want the texture. I hope I didn't miss anything!! Let me know if you need further help!
